Legacy of a Legendary Sculptor: all four statues
The riddle names a temple, a pass, a grassland and a lake. This is where each of the four goddess statues actually sits, in the order that costs the least travel.
A hunt across four corners of the map
Legacy of a Legendary Sculptor is a route-specific subquest recorded in Chapter 7 of Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. It is not a battle and not a boss: the subordinate of General Senghor hands over a riddle about four statues of the Dagdan goddesses, and the army then has to find all four on the world map before reporting back.
The riddle names the resting places of four statues of the Dagdan goddesses: a temple in the east, a pass in the north, a grassland in the west and a lake in the south.
A statue is collected with the Search action on a world map node, not in a battle. Hover the node first: while a node is selected the subquest description sits in the top right corner of the screen, so the clue can be read against the name of the place instead of guessed from the icon.
At least one of the four search points uses an icon that has nothing to do with its name: the temple node is drawn as a supply satchel. That single detail is the reason a player can walk past a statue while actively hunting for it.
Both sources describe this subquest as long rather than hard, which is a different problem. It belongs in a chapter with a wide open exploration window, and the posthouses along the way are what turn four cross-map trips into a short afternoon.
The four statues, in the cheapest order
Travel is the whole cost of this subquest, so the order below starts with the two statues inside the capital's reach and ends with the long run south. Every place named here appears in both sources, which is why this page can state them as a list rather than as a guess.
| Clue | Place | Statue | Route in |
|---|---|---|---|
| A temple in the east | Solel's Temple | Fortuna | The short way is East Amalthea through to the Ferronia posthouse, if that posthouse is already unlocked |
| A pass in the north | Utuna Pass | Kalla | Take the northern posthouse road rather than cutting across the hills on foot |
| A grassland in the west | Gaura Grassland | Jurah | Short enough to walk, which makes it the cheapest of the four |
| A lake in the south | Lake Brontes | Yu Pha | The quick road runs through the Salacia posthouse and the Valhalla Mine dungeon, which is recorded as a level 25 dungeon; the slower southern road goes through Faun Forest |
- Statue 1, Fortuna at Solel's Temple. Recorded as roughly south-east of Dagsion, on the coast near Callianeira Port The node is drawn as a supply satchel rather than a temple, which is the single reason players miss it. A little gold can drop from the surrounding search points.
- Statue 2, Kalla at Utuna Pass. In the northern hills, recorded as west of the Eochaid posthouse and as lying near Fina in the other source Vegetables can come out of the search points here, so the trip pays for itself. Both sources note that a statue of Kalla standing on Fortuna's ground is strange, which is the sculptor's eccentricity rather than a mistake on the map.
- Statue 3, Jurah at Gaura Grassland. West of Dagsion, a few squares past the West Amalthea posthouse; the only node west of the capital labelled as grassland Only one of the two sources names the statue here. The other confirms the place and leaves the goddess blank, so the statue is recorded as Jurah with that caveat attached.
- Statue 4, Yu Pha at Lake Brontes. The far south, in Saramis near Megaira This is the search point that also produces Paradise Fish, the item the Ninae recruitment asks for, so the last statue and a recruit are the same trip.
Step order that avoids a second crossing
The four search points can be collected in any order, but two of them are close together and two are not. Working north first and finishing in the south means one crossing of the map instead of three.
- Talk to the general's subordinate at the temple in Dagsion Hightown and take the riddle, which names a temple, a pass, a grassland and a lake.
- Open the world map and hover nodes until the names match the clues rather than the icons. Read the subquest line in the top right while a node is selected.
- Search Utuna Pass in the north for the statue of Kalla, then Gaura Grassland west of the capital for the statue of Jurah.
- Cross to Solel's Temple for the statue of Fortuna, remembering that the node is drawn as a satchel.
- Finish at Lake Brontes in the far south for the statue of Yu Pha, and search the same points for Paradise Fish while you are there.
- Return to the capital and report back to the same NPC to close the subquest.
What it gives, and where the sources disagree
Both sources agree that the subquest pays Renown and three manuals, and both agree that the three manuals are the reason to do it. They do not agree on which three. One records a heavy-armor, a riding and a flying manual together with five thousand gold and a hundred Renown. The other records three different experience manuals and no gold line at all.
This page keeps both figures side by side instead of choosing, because neither source explains the difference and a wrong pick would send a player looking for a payout that does not arrive. The deadline list on the subquests page carries the manual-and-gold figure, and the reward line above it is the source of the split.
Three of the rewards feed the systems that decide how a unit is built rather than how much gold the army has, which is why the subquest is worth a route across the map even when the run is short of time.
Four things that save a trip
- Unlock the posthouses before starting. The subquest is a travel bill, and three of the four legs are cut in half by fast travel.
- Bring a party that can handle the Valhalla Mine route if the southern lake is last, or accept the Faun Forest road instead.
- Do not treat the compass words as addresses. One clue points east at a place that sits south-east, and the lake is the southern edge of the map rather than the east.
- If the subquest is taken late in a chapter with a fixed turn count, the grassland statue is the one to grab first because it costs the least time.
The sculptor quest, start to finish

A seventy second run of the same subquest, transcribed on 2026-09-30. It works the four legs in a different order from the written sources and names the travel points out loud: the grass node beside Dagsion for Jurah, then north to the pass for Kalla, then the temple reached from the posthouse east of Amalthea, then the lake from the southern posthouse. Where it spells a place differently, this page keeps the written spelling and notes the variant.
The same quest from a second channel

A four minute tour on a small channel, transcribed on 2026-09-30. It is short on route detail but long on the two facts that matter: it repeats the backpack icon at the temple node, and it records the reward as five thousand gold, a hundred Renown and manuals that unlock skill options, which makes it the third source on a reward the written walkthroughs disagree about.
What the two video walkthroughs add
Two creator walkthroughs were transcribed on 2026-09-30 next to the two written sources. They name the same four places and, more usefully, they say out loud which posthouse each leg starts from, which is the part the written sources leave to the map.
- Grassland first, and it is the cheapest leg: the node sits beside Dagsion, so search the grass west of the capital and the statue of Jurah is handed over almost immediately.
- North to Utuna Pass for Kalla: from the northern fast travel point the pass is visible on the map, and the first video adds that a player who has not opened that road yet has to go up through Hugo's Fortress instead.
- East to Solel's Temple for Fortuna: both videos reach it through Eastern Amalthea from the posthouse on that side, and the second one repeats that the node is drawn as a backpack rather than a temple.
- South to Lake Brontes for Yu Pha: from the southern posthouse the route goes around the lake, and the second video notes the statue sits there because that region is where the goddess is mainly worshipped.
Corroborated by the videos
- A third source now records the reward as five thousand gold, a hundred Renown and manuals that open new skill options, which lines up with the gold-and-manuals variant of the two written sources rather than the experience-manual variant.
- The satchel or backpack icon at the temple node is now confirmed by three independent sources, which is why the guide treats it as the reason players miss that statue rather than as a quirk of one screenshot.
- The quest being travel-heavy rather than difficult is repeated by every source checked, including both videos.
Still open
- Posthouse names are written differently by each source (Ferronia and Forneus for the eastern one, Eochaid and Akea for the northern one), so the guide names the direction and the region instead of trusting a single spelling.
- Neither video shows a deadline or an expiry warning, which keeps that question open rather than answered.
- The videos show the route but not the statue pickup order the riddle implies, so the guide keeps the riddle order for the table and gives travel order separately.
Frequently asked questions
- Where are the four statues in Legacy of a Legendary Sculptor?
- Utuna Pass in the north holds Kalla, Gaura Grassland west of the capital holds Jurah, Solel's Temple holds Fortuna, and Lake Brontes in the far south holds Yu Pha. Those four places match in both sources checked on 2026-09-30.
- Why can I not find the temple statue?
- Because the node is not drawn as a temple. Solel's Temple appears on the map with a supply satchel icon, so it is found by hovering nodes in the eastern half of the map and reading the names rather than scanning for a building.
- What does Legacy of a Legendary Sculptor reward?
- Both sources record Renown and three manuals, but they disagree on which manuals. One records a heavy-armor, a riding and a flying manual alongside five thousand gold and a hundred Renown, while the other records three different experience manuals. The two figures are reported side by side rather than one being presented as settled.
- Does the sculptor subquest expire?
- No source checked records a deadline for it, so it is listed as a priority subquest without an expiry date. That means it is recorded as untested rather than safe, and it should still be finished in a chapter with a long exploration window.
Sources and open questions
Every place on this page comes from the sources below, all read or transcribed on 2026-09-30, and the four statue locations match between all of them. The quest giver and the exact reward are the parts where the sources do not line up, which is why they are flagged rather than smoothed over. Two of the four sources are video walkthroughs whose English captions were transcribed on the same day, and the paragraph under each video says what that video added.
