Crests, Diadems and Blaze Arts
All 22 named crests with their Dagdan names, the 12 with a bearer in this game, the trigger rate of each effect, and why Blaze Arts cost HP.
What a crest is in this game
In Dagdan culture crests are called Diadems, and also Bloodmarks or Godmarks. This site keeps the series term crest alongside the in-world names so both searches land.
Twenty-two named crests exist across the series. Twelve of them have a bearer confirmed in this game, and the rest are recorded here as crests with no bearer in this title rather than being left out. That split matters for reading the table: a crest with no bearer is still a real crest, and treating an empty row as a data gap would be wrong.
Every recorded crest effect is a chance on attack, expressed as a percentage, so a crest is a reliability curve rather than a flat stat.
A Diadem granted by an unacknowledged god is read by some Dagdans as an ill omen, and its bearer can be shunned. Esmeralda carries Blaiddyd, which is the recorded case.
The Hero~s Relic tied to each crest is known, and the effect of every relic is not yet documented by any source checked. Relics are named for all 22 crests here, and not one of them has its effect recorded yet.
The crest table
Twelve of the 22 crests have a bearer in this game, and they belong to 15 named characters: Aswan, Bertrand, Cai, Dietrich, Eshmel, Esmeralda, Fianna, Leda, Ninae, Orchel, Raksha, Seteth, Talimun, Theodora, Ursula. The remaining 10 crests are recorded by lineage with no bearer here, because they belong to the wider series rather than to this cast.

Cursed objects and the bodies they sit in
Some bearers do not need to wield a cursed object at all, because it is embedded in their body.
- Cai and Theodora carry a cursed object embedded in their bodies, so they run Duality, the Gautier Diadem, natively with any weapon rather than only when holding the cursed weapon.
- Talimun~s Blaze Gauge behaviour suggests the same innate Duality.
- Orchel is recorded as a Duality bearer with no known cursed object, which is the case the embedded-object explanation does not cover.
- Cai carries two crests, Aubin and Gautier, side by side rather than one nested inside the other. His mother Aurora is recorded as an Aubin bearer.
Aurora is also the name of one of the six blessings sold at the Shrine of Causality. No source states whether the blessing and the character share a source, so the two are kept apart here rather than conflated.
Blaze Arts and Combat Arts
These two sit next to crests because both read as extensions of the bearer rather than as ordinary weapons. Blaze Arts are the heavy super-move class of action, and they are paid for in HP rather than in a resource bar. Every use fills a gauge, and once that gauge fills the unit~s maximum HP is reduced. That makes them a limited, high-risk resource rather than a rotation. The design intent is visible in the cost: you are trading a permanent slice of the unit~s durability for a burst of damage.
Combat Arts work the other way round: Combat Arts are special attacks that consume weapon durability when they are used. A Combat Art can be carried across when a Part 1 version of a unit is merged into a Part 3 unit through Merge Causality, which is how multi-route training compounds.
No source checked publishes the move list, the individual effects, or the shrine path for strengthening them.
What the record does not cover
- No acquisition routes: no source records where any Diadem is obtained, which unit joins holding it, or in which chapter.
- No relic effects: every Hero~s Relic is named and none has its effect documented.
- No ability list: no source checked publishes the game~s Abilities, only the crest-triggered effects above.
- No Blaze Art moves: the mechanic is described, the moves are not.
The practical upshot for planning is that crests are a bonus you take what you get from rather than a system you build around: the trigger rates are fixed, the bearers are fixed, and no source describes a way to change either.
Frequently asked questions
- What is a Diadem in Fortune's Weave?
- A Diadem is what crests are called in Dagdan culture, and the same thing is also called a Bloodmark or a Godmark. Twenty-two named crests exist across the series, and twelve of them have a bearer confirmed in this game.
- Why does my unit have a crest effect without holding the relic?
- Because some bearers have the cursed object embedded in their body rather than in their hands. Cai and Theodora carry one that way, so they run the Gautier Diadem, Duality, with any weapon at all. Talimun's gait behaviour points the same way.
- How do crest effects trigger?
- Every recorded crest effect is a chance on attack expressed as a percentage, from Blaiddyd at three percent for a 1.5x damage multiplier to Gautier at twenty-five percent for +3 Attack. A crest is a reliability curve rather than a flat stat, which is why a low trigger rate on a large multiplier is still worth planning around.
- What are Blaze Arts and do they cost anything?
- Blaze Arts are the super-move class of action and they are paid for in HP. Every use fills a gauge, and once that gauge fills the unit's maximum HP is reduced permanently, which makes them a limited, high-risk resource rather than a rotation.
Crests and the classes they sit in overlap on the classes page, and the relics that pair with them are recorded on the weapons page.
